What Are Dermal Fillers?

- Sculptra® Aesthetic is different from other topical treatments and facial fillers because it works with your body to help revitalize collagen production. This natural substance gives your skin resiliency, elasticity, and shape. As a poly-L-lactic acid collagen stimulator, Sculptra works deep within the skin, rather than topically, to help restore your skin's inner structure and volume. Results usually last as long as two years.
- RADIESSE® and RADIESSE (+) are dermal fillers used to smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (the creases that extend from the corner of your nose to the corner of your mouth). RADIESSE is also used to correct volume loss in the back of the hands.
- KYBELLA® is the only FDA-approved injectable treatment that destroys fat cells on the treatment area under the chin to improve your profile. Submental fullness is a gathering of excess fat beneath the chin, commonly known as "double chin." It can be something you've had your whole life due to genetics or start to appear as you get older or if you gain weight.

How Are Dermal Filler Injections Performed?
Injected under the skin rather than into muscles, dermal fillers deliver a concentration that can temporarily add volume to the cheeks, below the eyes, and other hollow areas of the face that come with age. Our aesthetic experts will create a customized treatment plan to help you achieve your desired appearance. Injections are typically administered on the same day. Our team will utilize a numbing cream to make the injections as pain-free as possible. Because of the anesthetic, the injection process is usually very tolerable and does not require downtime. You should expect bruising and swelling immediately after, but these symptoms should fade away within a few short days. Typical results can last from three months to a year, depending on the product and placement of the injection. Touch-ups may be needed to maintain results.

Today I went in for Dysport that I had purchased during the open house. I was instantly greeted by the front desk manager (I can’t remember his name) with a beautiful smile. He even offered me something to drink! He was extremely inviting and so friendly. I had my visit with Trina, the lead injector at the spa. She was very knowledgeable, asked me if I had any questions before she started and even afterwards. She was so sweet. I have gone to another well known establishment in the area for years now for Dysport, filler and other things but after today’s visit I will be retuning back to Mays Plastic Surgery. I have deep acne and piercing scars on my face and heavy sun damage on my chest that I hoped to minimize. After consulting with Ashley - the aesthetician about my goals, she guided me to try the Helix Laser. I cannot explain the dramatic results I achieved from just one single session of the helix laser. My scars are visibly reduced and many of the dark sun spots on my chest have already completely vanished. I just never expected such dramatic results after only one session. I am so motivated and cannot wait to see my before and after photos after completing the full series.
