I visited Mays Plastic Surgery Nov. 21st and had a great experience with both Meredith and Trina.Meredith did a Diamond Glow facial on me which gave me an incredible glow that I received multiple compliments on even days after my appointment. It was such a relaxing experience and Meredith made me feel so comfortable and she also prepped me to get filler and I felt literally zero discomfort when getting filler. The facial was so relaxing I didn't even want to get up out of the cozy little bed.Trina did my filler for both my undereyes and jawline. She gave great recommendations for what type of filler to use and placement. She made me feel very comfortable and was incredibly gentle during the procedure - I couldn't even tell where she'd injected me afterwards. The hollowness in my undereyes has been significantly reduced and my jawline looks so much more defined and pretty, even my neck under my chin looks better. When can I expect to see results?
Some improvements, like skin tightening and vascular lesion reduction, are noticeable immediately. Continued improvement in discoloration, sun spots, and collagen renewal can be seen weeks following the treatment.
Who is a candidate for Prisma and IPL?
Prisma's IPL treatment may not be suitable for darker skin tones. EMS and RF has fewer limitations but it is important to talk to your provider about your specific risk profile.
Is Prisma a Photofacial?
‘Photo facial’ typically refers to IPL treatment only and is a safe and effective way to target color in your skin. Prisma’s IPL offers several benefits when using an IPL alone like optimal speed and minimal discomfort, but when coupled with EMS and RF, Prisma acts layer by layer to treat more than just discoloration resulting in a more youthful appearance.
Does Prisma hurt?
One of the main benefits of Prisma is that the IPL handpieces are designed to be more comfortable than other devices. To treat discoloration and vascular lesions you need heat, which may translate to discomfort for some, which is why Prisma offers cooling to optimize comfort without needing to sacrifice results. There is no discomfort associated with the RF and EMS steps. Talk to your provider about any concerns you might have.
